Abstract

ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence (AI) tool used to provide information and perform creative tasks. In recent years, in the health area, interest in this digital resource has grown a lot. Thus, the objective of this study was to characterize the use of ChatGPT during university training in Nursing in Brazil. For this, data were collected from 31 students in the city of Guarujá-SP, through an online form. The results pointed to frequent use of ChatGPT through cell phones, notebooks and computers, in order to develop academic activities. Most students showed interest in using AI to write their term paper. In conclusion, the evidence indicates the need to establish alternative methods of evaluation of nursing students, given the high rate of use of AI and the potential interest in creating texts using ChatGPT.
