In a previous paper, we explored the potential of blockchain technology to simplify and decentralize economic transactions. We also saw how its evolution and versatility have generated applications in a wide variety of fields, including modern logistics, electronic voting, citizen identity, and some philanthropic activities. Here, we focus on this last topic: some specific philanthropic activities (digitization + tokenization of donations) that have emerged as an important alternative. Currently, some Blockchain based systems help donors and beneficiaries interact more directly and improve the reputation of charities. Consequently, in recent years, several charities and foundations have ventured into donations through cryptoassets (Red Cross, International Alliance for Child Support, United Way, Caritas, among others). This paper explores and analyzes the technological framework necessary to implement the so-called digitalization and tokenization of donations. It also reports the experience of an extension project related to this topic, which is being developed by faculty and students of the School of Economics of Rosario, Catholic University of Argentina, in conjunction with Caritas Rosario
