Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI), focusing on its potentials, challenges, and ethical implications in education and the teacher–student relationship within Brazilian academic environments. Based on a bibliographic review and an empirical survey of 30 students at Centro Universitário Don Domenico, five statements were assessed on a Likert scale (1–5), yielding means between 2.60 and 3.47. Findings indicate cautious optimism: moderate confidence in AI, ethical concerns, and affirmation of the irreplaceable role of the teacher. We conclude that AI can enhance education when integrated responsibly, supported by continuous training and clear data privacy and authorship policies.
