Nursing care in prenatal consultation under the eyes of adolescent mothers

Abstract

To present the performance of professionals from the National Residency Program in Obstetric Nursing. Métodos: estudo qualitativo, descritivo, exploratório, com análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Six puerperal adolescents were interviewed in their homes, cared for by obstetric nurse residents. Results: Prenatal care performed by resident nurses offers comprehensive, individualized, humanized and differentiated care, which provides bonding, quality of care and humanization. Conclusion: the Obstetrics Residency contributes to the training of qualified nurses committed to differentiated and integral care, with listening, empathy and education being the main parameters of satisfaction. Research is still needed to assess difficulties and needs for assistance, aiming to expand the qualification of resident nurses.
