Sustainable cooperativism has emerged as a relevant alternative for economic, social, and environmental development, This study analyzes the global scientific output on cooperativism and sustainability through a bibliometric approach, aiming to map the temporal evolution of publications and identify the main authors and journals shaping the field. It is a quantitative and descriptive study based on the Web of Science database and operationalized according to the framework proposed by Prado et al. (2016), including procedures for searching, selecting, organizing, and analyzing references. The results show continuous growth in publications since 2015, alongside a concentration of output in a limited set of journals and authors and a predominance of European outlets. The findings also reveal a low participation of Brazilian authors, indicating opportunities to strengthen internationalization and expand the theme within national research agendas. These pattern, recent growth combined with concentrated authorship and publication venue, support the conclusion that, although expanding, the field still lacks stronger theoretical consolidation and denser collaboration networks. As a contribution, the study provides a systematized overview of the state of the art, highlighting research gaps and offering guidance for future studies and for improving academic cooperation strategies and practices related to sustainable cooperativism.
