Abstract

The pandemic brought about profound changes in leadership, marking the rise of hybrid work models and new ways of managing teams. In an increasingly digital and flexible environment, leaders face complex challenges that combine strategic thinking with emotional intelligence. Global uncertainty and resistance to change have tested essential skills such as communication, empathy, and adaptability. This paper explores how team leadership evolved during the health crisis, highlighting remote work as a key factor in improving both productivity and well-being. It also examines the core competencies needed to guide distributed teams without losing engagement or effectiveness. Through real-world examples, practical strategies are proposed to support organizational transitions, minimizing negative impacts and promoting a people-centered culture. Leading today requires flexibility, emotional closeness, and the ability to respond to constantly shifting workplace dynamics.
