Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative tool in higher education, offering
innovative methods to personalize learning and improve teaching efficiency. This paper
explores the use of AI to integrate it into teaching disciplines with an entrepreneurial
approach to developing the skills necessary to solve the production and consumption
problems of communities that present significant challenges requiring immediate attention.
The paper examines the obstacles faced by AI in higher education, reflecting on its
potential and the risks of dehumanization and inequality. Project-based education is
introduced as an approach that allows for the effective integration of AI into production and
consumption issues, proposing strategies and recommendations for higher education
institutions to strengthen their capacity to prepare future generations for complex global
problems that affect life on the planet and manifest themselves in multiple dimensions.
AI should be seen as an opportunity to find alternatives that allow the development of
disciplines by integrating ethics and sustainability into academic practices.
