LAS MICROCREDENCIALES COMO INNOVACIÓN EMERGENTE PARA EL RECONOCIMIENTO DE HABILIDADES DE APRENDIZAJE
UNA MIRADA A LOS DESAFÍOS Y OPORTUNIDADES
Abstract
This article presents a bibliographic study on the concept of microcredentials in education.
Its purpose is to analyze their role as an innovative tool for recognizing skill acquisition and
developing specific competencies. The research focuses on a review of scientific literature
addressing the design, implementation, and pedagogical effects of microcredentials in
different educational contexts. It examines gaps in understanding the term itself and how it
is being validated in countries on different continents, as well as in Latin America. It also
provides a brief overview of microcredentials management in Bolivia. It also emphasizes
validation, standardization, and institutional acceptance. The results provide insight into
the potential of microcredentials as a complement to traditional credentials and their
impact on the transformation of current educational models
