INCLUSIVE DESIGN CHANGE MODEL: STRATEGIES FOR HAVING MORE AUTISTIC PEOPLE IN THE IT SECTOR

This article explores the application of an inclusive design change model in hiring autistic individuals in the Information Technology (IT) sector. It argues that simple insertion does not guarantee inclusion, which must be planned systematically to meet the needs and skills of autistic people. Assistive technologies and artificial intelligence are examined for their ability to customize workplaces and help neurodivergent individuals maximize their contributions. Finally, a twelve-point recommendation framework based on encouragement, attention, and avoidance is presented to guide companies toward genuine inclusivity. Inclusive design and committed leadership are essential to creating environments that welcome and promote autistic talent, benefiting both professionals and businesses.
