The research examines the regulations and certifications applied in environmental management and the development of green human resources management (GHRM) strategies in companies in the hotel sector in Cali, Colombia. Adocumentary analytical research with a qualitative approach and an empirical study are carried out in 7 hotels in the city of Cali with in-depth interviews. The findings reveal the existence of mandatory and voluntary standards, which govern in Colombia and other countries that can be a guide for hotels. It is highlighted that despite basic social responsibility actions regarding waste treatment and environmental care, there is a general lack of knowledge about GHRM, and its positive impact on the sustainability of the company and relationships with various stakeholders. A guide is proposed for the green management of human talent, outlining specific actions in areas and processes, providing a valuable basis for companies in the sector.
