Abstract

The present study is the vision of the role of companies in society, with an eye on Social Responsibility (RS) and the search for links that incarnated food companies maintain with the community. This approach has allowed obtaining information on the degree of knowledge, practices, and development of the social actors involved.

The objectives were to determine the importance that entrepreneurs assign to the SR in the environment of the incarnational gastronomic tour and also to explore the existing links with the community.

The geographical context is in the city of Encarnación, which has a waterfront, which was built by a hydroelectric company (Entidad Binacional Yacyretá), which allowed it to solve the flood problems of the former low zone. The data was collected through a complete census of the representatives of the gastronomic establishments of the tourist walk and the heads of households in the community.

The study allowed describing that entrepreneurs in the aforementioned sector of Encarnación assume social responsibility in a complementary manner with their environment, subject to the most important social and environmental activities, carried out by institutions such as the Municipality of Encarnación and the Yacyretá Binational Entity.
