Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The contribution is original and unpublished, and it is not being considered for publication by another journal; otherwise, it should be justified in the "Comments to the editor."

The submission file must be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx), OpenOffice, or RTF format, as specified in the template.
- URLs and DOI numbers for references have been provided where possible.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point Calibri font; and uses italics instead of underlining (except in URL addresses); figures and tables are inserted in the text, not at the end of the document as appendices.
- The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in Guidelines for Authors - check below.
- The references were checked for citations of publications in journals with predatory practices (Beall's List | Cabells | List of Mythos' non-recommended periodicals).
- A maximum of 5 (five) authors is allowed for each manuscript;
- In Microsoft Office documents, the author identification must be removed from the document properties (in the File > Properties menu), click the File tab on the main menu, next File > Info > Check for Issues > Inspect Document > Inspect > choose to Remove everything in the dialog box, review the results in Document Inspector and save.
- Each author and/or co-author may have two articles in a flow between the start of submission and the final evaluation.
Research articles
Original texts from a scientific study involving completed or ongoing research products in the journal's thematic area. Articles published in proceedings will be accepted if the authors demonstrate the study's adequacy concerning the proceedings version. Single or multiple case studies, qualitative or quantitative research, and research of a theoretical nature can be submitted to this section.
Memory of a Scientific Event
This section aims to publish studies that have stood out at national or international scientific events. The studies are published in FAST-TRACK format and undergo peer review.
Systematic Literature Review
Systematic literature reviews are welcome as long as rigorous review methods are applied (e.g. PRISMA).
Copyright Notice
Since January of 2024, the authors retain the copyright relating to their article and grant the journal Mythos, from FEPESMIG, the right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0), as stated in the article’s PDF document. This license provides that the article published can be shared (allows you to copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and adapted (allows you to remix, transform, and create from the material for any purpose, even commercial) by anyone.

1. Authors and Reviewers:
- When submitting a manuscript to the "Mythos" journal as an author, you agree to provide information such as your name, institutional affiliation, email address, and other relevant information for the editorial process.
- Reviewers participating in the peer-review process may also provide personal information, such as name, institutional affiliation, and email address.
2. Readers:
- When accessing the content of the "Mythos" journal, some non-personally identifiable information, such as IP addresses and navigation data, may be collected for statistical analysis and continuous improvement of the website.
Use of Information:
1. Editorial Process: Information provided by authors and reviewers is used exclusively to facilitate the editorial process, including submissions, peer reviews, and communication related to the publication process.
2. Website Improvement: Information collected from readers is used to analyze usage trends and enhance the browsing experience on the "Mythos" journal. This data is treated in an aggregated and anonymous manner.
Disclosure to Third Parties:
1. Reviewers and Collaborators: Information provided by authors and reviewers is shared with members of the editorial team and reviewers involved in the peer-review process.
2. Compliance with Laws and Regulations: The "Mythos" journal may disclose personal information when necessary to comply with laws, regulations, or government requests.
Security:
1. Data Protection: We have implemented physical and electronic security measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or unauthorized destruction.
