Abstract

This study aims to answer the following question: how can the application of the Reliability Centered Maintenance methodology be strategic, in terms of improving operational efficiency, for the agricultural machinery maintenance sector in the sugarcane industry? Its general objective is to demonstrate how this methodology can contribute to greater equipment effectiveness, through the implementation of Maintenance Plans and their influence on equipment performance. The purpose of this work is centered on reducing costs, bureaucracy and complexity. The methodology of this work consists of a bibliographical research and a case study. According to the analyzes carried out, it was concluded that the main objective of this work was achieved, since it was possible to demonstrate how the applied methodology can contribute to greater equipment effectiveness, through the implementation of Maintenance Plans and their influence on the performance of the equipment. equipment. There was an increase in Physical Availability in the 23/24 harvest compared to the previous harvest, with an increase of 6% in harvesters and 3.9% in tractors. The results also showed an increase of 7.45% in the indicator of adherence to the maintenance schedule in the 23/24 harvest, in relation to the 22/23 harvest.
