The Unis Educational Group hosted the First International Congress of the ACINNET Network, which took place from May 4 to 9, 2015. There were approximately 200 training opportunities that included the participation of about 10 thousand people during all the days of the event, with delegations from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, United States, Portugal and Paraguay.

According to the Coordinator of the Congress, Prof. Felipe Flausino de Oliveira, the event was promoted for the first time within the framework of international partners, which consists of an advance in the production and publication of scientific knowledge, in addition to fostering intercultural relations: "The community of Varginha and region had the opportunity to meet people from the different countries that make up the Network, as well as access to information and knowledge from other economic, social and political realities," he said. The activities were divided into the following areas: Education, Business, Transversal, Engineering, Law, Information Technology and Health. There were lectures, mini-courses, presentations of scientific papers, exhibition of posters, workshops and seminars. During the congress, the "Scientific Journal Academic International Network" was launched, which is the scientific publication vehicle of the Cooperation Network partners. Students and professors had the opportunity to submit scientific papers for publication.The I International Congress was a milestone for the entire academic community, as it had direct effects on the training of students, teachers and guests. It was a great initiative for the construction of knowledge.
